We are located 175 miles from Anchorage (rent a car and take a senic 3 hour drive) or a short 20 minute flight to Kenia airport, where you rent your car.
For our Alaska Halibut Charter trips the boat will leave the lodge two & one half hours before the tide change. Salmon trips leave at 5:00 am.
We take a maximun of six fishermen (saltwater) and four freshwater.
All equipment, tackle, and bait is included, along with filleting your catch. Vacuum packaging and freezing is also available.
Numerous rivers are located nearby. The Kenai, Kasilof, Ninilchik, Deep creek, and the Anchor river. They produce Kings, Silvers, and Red salmon along with Trout, Dolly Varden and others. Most can be caught with a basic spinning or bait casting set-up: 7-8' medium weight (rated for 8-20 lb line). And a reel loaded with 15-30 lb main line.
I fish all these rivers at the peak run timing, and do very well.
